Simon's Journal - Thirteen Summer Days

The first 125 pages of chapter 9 have been sent to be reviewed and edited. I have to work on the other 50+ pages still before I am ready to send those to him as well.
It is looking like this is going to be the longest chapter of the entire series which is surprising 'cause it I think chapter 8 holds the record for taking the longest to write/publish.
It is a very cold day here, sub-freezing temps. I have decided to spend much of the day sitting in front of a roaring fire and working on the rest of this chapter.

Chapter 9 is coming along great. I have about 125 pages edited and rewritten. I am currently working to rework and rewrite the ending of the chapter. I hope to send it to my friend soon to be proof read and make sure I didn't make any major errors.
Actually, talking with him via email, he has already got me correcting parts. Seems I was calling one of the characters by the wrong name. Ugh! It's an easy fix though.

I have been busy writing. Chapter 9 is basically completely wrough draffed and I have begun the reworking/editing process. I have about 60 or more pages edited and have plans on completely rewriting the ending of this chapter.
As it sits right now, there are 143 pages but that might grow or shrink once I get around to rewriting the ending.

Why does it take you so long between chapters?

It takes me a long time because unfortunately I work 50-to-90 hours a week. Then I have a personal life, I travel and I answer all my own emails. Yes contrary to what you might believe I do answer ALL emails even though at times it takes me FOREVER! Oh and then writing... what can I say then IT TAKES FOOOOREVER! I have a write, rewrite, rework, edit, rewrite again, add parts, take parts out, move stuff around, send it to friends for proofing and editing. Then I get it back and make whatever changes they suggested. I've even gone as far as to take a chapter back to the beginning after getting their feedback. So yeah it takes me a long time.
OK the truth is... I'm just a slow, lazy S.O.B. There I said it! Now leave me alone I have to get back to writing!

I've been working on Simon's Journal - Thirteen Summer Days chapter 9 every evening so tonight I took the night off from writing. But the chapter is coming along great. Already wrote two new scenes/twists that were not in the outline but will add to the story beautifully.

Chapter 8 seems to be a success. Thank you to all those that have taken the time to write to tell me so. I really appreciate it!I have been hard at work on Chapter 9 and I have nearly 40 pages wrote thus far and have hardly scratched the surface of this chapter. Oh and several long standing questions have been answered already with more answers to come.Okay, back to writing.

Simon's Journal - Thirteen Summer Days

I am sure you thought it would never happen but I finally compleated Simon's Journal - Thirteen Summer Days Chapter 8 and have sent it to Nifty.
About 4:30 PM today I sat down and started going through the entire chapter again. I added several new pages to the story by adding to different parts, extending some parts and also trying to break up some of the heavier parts with some humor.
I am very happy with the way this chapter has turned out and I hope that you are too.
It is now 12:40AM on 11/21/2011. The chapter was sent to Nifty at about 12:40AM. Now let's see how long it takes for them to post it. hehe!

Chapter 8 has been returned to me with editorial markup. I am about half way through the chapter and if I can get the energy and motivation, it shouldn't take much longer to get it complete.
